Balinese Food -Babi Guling (Roasted Pig/Pork)

Babi guling (english: suckling pig) is such an iconic Balinese dish. You cannot leave Bali without trying them.

92.29% of us in Bali are Hindus. There is no restriction for eating pork. So we have a variety of ways to prepare pork.

SPLASHING GOOD TIME! Water Rafting in Bali

Bali Rafting is one of kind adventure you can enjoy while in Bali. Have a SPLASHING GOOD TIME!

There are 2 locations and each of them have different difficulty level. Easy and REALLY easy. haha.
There are two main rivers which is being use for Bali white water rafting, and there are:

• Telaga Waja River
• Ayung River

You can find more information about the two locations here.
 

For more than a dozen years, Ayung River rafting is known as the best rafting in Bali and the most favorite and the choice of leading operators in Indonesia. 

This white water rafting will provides a compelling challenge and adrenaline of each participant.

The price about 30 USD each person adult include lunch. It starts at about 9.30am and ends at 2pm. It takes 2 hours to drive from Kuta and another 2 hours back. 

The scenery and fresh air is one that you cannot miss! 

 



Even though the rapid class is 3-4, but still Telaga Waja White Water River is very suitable to family who looks for some thrill and adventure in Bali.

Today I brought Patrick and wife to visit the rice padi fields and plantations. They learned much about the live at the countryside.

 

The air at the fields always smell fresher compared to those in the city. Glad they had a great time!

My name is Yudi. My nickname is Kadek. Kadek means younger brother in Bahasa Indonesia.

 

I have been married for about 2 years with my beautiful wife. She has been such a loving and supportive wife. You will notice that she accompanies me around with my guests whenever she has time and if there is space in the car. Of course also only when the guests do not mind. She is really kind, sociable and my great help so I like to be with her as well.
 

 
 

I have previously worked with a travel agent for about 4 years. I brought tourists of many nationalities around Bali. There were Indians, Chinese, Australians, Americans, Russians and Indonesians etc. As long as we can communicate and can speak English, Indonesian or Russian, I'm sure we will have a good time together.

 

Many of us have became friends through the days and times that we spend together. When they return home, they will always talk about their memorable and fun trip. For the full day rate, most drivers would tell you that they would bring you around for a maximum of 10 hours. But what happens after that? How about after dinner? 

I believe in making sure that you are happy and safe. I will bring you around till you ask me to leave. The rate for a full day rate is really for a full day. 

We can discuss for half day or a few hours rate like picking you up from the airport or to the airport.

2013 February - Anna Day 3 & 4

Picked them up from the Holiday Inn Villa and off we go to the northern areas in Bali. Drove about 3-4 hours to see the Civet cat that is part of the process to make the Coffee Luwak. 

 

That is me in yellow sitting with them to appreciate the art of coffee making. I don't know how to enjoy coffee but they liked it.

Went to a restaurant that overlook the Mount Agung. So cooling, relaxing and beautiful view. They enjoyed a lunch buffet here with authentic Balinese dishes. Hope the liked it.

Bebek Tepi Sawah is popular for their duck dishes. They fry, grill and spice it up. Yummy! One of my favourites so I brought them here. 

 

Day 4 Anna wanted to dive, so she went to Tulamben area to dive at the US Liberty Shipwreck. I've not seen it but she say it is really cool like in the Titanic movie.
